Designer creates gay characters inspired by Disney cartoons; Look

Mexican graphic designer and illustrator Alfredo Roagui combined his passion for Disney cartoons and his talent for creating gay characters inspired by the famous princess stories that rocked the childhood of millions of people.

A fan of the mermaid Ariel, and of Disney as a whole, the artist is not afraid to criticize the horizontal model of fairy tale characters: "the princess who falls in love with prince charming" and the end of this story everyone already knows by heart and sautéed.

And it was with this philosophy that Alfredo represented, through art, what the characters in these tales would be like if they were of the same sex. "As cliché as it may seem, I believe in love, in gay love!", declared the artist to Buzzfeed, when asked why his drawings show same-sex couples.
