Makeup artist Dicesar was eliminated today from Big Brother Brasil 10. An admitted homosexual, the man from Paraná behind the drag queen Dimmy Kieer competed for the public's preference alongside fighter Marcelo Dourado.
Dicesar was eliminated with 58% of the votes after an emotional text from presenter Pedro Bial that even made his opponents hug each other. Dicesar's departure is a reason for lamentations and celebrations on social networks such as Orkut, Twitter and Facebook. The makeup artist was recommended to the wall by dentist Fernanda, as both had agreed. The intention was to destabilize the alliance formed by Dourado, Cadu and Lia.
Personal trainer Cadu took the lead tonight and nominated Fernanda for the last wall of this edition. The dentist in turn chose Lia for the dispute. Dourado is already in the final of the program and is one of the favorites for the R$1,5 million prize.
Drag queen Dimmy Kierr turned 44 at the beginning of 2010, shortly before entering confinement for this edition of the reality show. One of the public's favorites, Dicesar stood out for his good humor and irreverence in the first weeks of the global attraction.
As time passed, Dicesar allied himself with a group of brothers who were eliminated one by one during the program's airing. With the lack of affinity with people like Anamara and Lia for letting it appear that he couldn't stand them, Dimmy gained an image that didn't please the program's audience.
Parallel to this, Dourado, his biggest opponent in the house and considered a homophobe, fell into favor with the public, with supposedly sympathetic celebrities and some media outlets. With each wall he competed in, the fighter emerged stronger.
This great ideological dispute between a homosexual and a sexist, who stated that heterosexual sex did not transmit AIDS, became news on international websites such as Advocate magazine and led to the movement of gay groups and idle internet users who formed part of a strengthened "Golden Mafia".
