The characters Gaston (played by the handsome Luke Evans) and his “right-hand man” somewhat confused about his own sexual orientation, LeFou (Josh Gad) will have their own series on Disney+ after being hugely successful in Beauty and the Beast (2017). The information is from the magazine The Hollywood Reporter.

The streaming platform announced last Friday (6) that it will make a six-episode miniseries centered on the events prior to the film starring Emma Watson in the role of Belle.

In addition to acting, Evans and Gad will have other roles in the series. The first will be a producer and the second will be a screenwriter and producer. Eddy Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, creators of the series Once Upon a Time (Sony Channel), are the creators. A premiere date has not been announced.

So far, it is unknown whether LeFou will be portrayed as gay – even if in Beauty and the Beast his character (spoiler alert!) had a crush on Gaston and was shown in the film dancing with another man.
