Renée Zellweger could win the Oscar for the second time: now, in the best actress category for her performance as the singer, actress and gay icon Judy Garland (1922–1969) in film Judy: Beyond the Rainbow.
The film portrays Garland on a historic tour she took in 1968 in London, during the last months of her life. With her finances in a critical situation and her drug addiction hampering her live performances, Garland agreed to tour to buy a house and be with her children.
In addition to playing the diva, Zellweger, a diva in her own right, sings Garland's songs live in the film.
