DJ Paulo Pringles is the debut guest on the podcast on the website A Capa

The website A Capa premieres this Thursday (21) the PopCast program, which will be presented by DJs Anderson Bressane and Augusto Rossi.

In podcast format, which can be downloaded for free by internet users, PopCast will be presented weekly and will feature interviews with guests. In the premiere, the participant is Paulo Pringles, resident of the Tunnel club and DJ on Jovem Pan radio.

In the following interview, Anderson Bressane talks about the idea for the program and explains how it will be structured. Check out:

How did the idea for the program come about?
The idea of making a musical podcast is old. I always wanted to bring together some DJs and people who understand music to talk to people who also like music. The idea is to also invite people we know on the night so that we can provide listeners with a behind-the-scenes conversation.

Tell us how the program will be structured.
The Popcast presentation will be with me and DJ Augusto Rossi. At first, we thought about doing a fortnightly program, but as there is something interesting to talk about every week, we decided to do it weekly, every Thursday. The cool thing about choosing a podcast-style format is the possibility that the person will have to listen and take the episodes anywhere with their iPod or other device that has an MP3 player function.

Speaking of which, you will make the podcast available for download. Is free content the great feature of the internet today? Or do you advocate paid content?
The Popcast is free and can be heard and downloaded via the A Capa website and Apple's iTunes program. The advantage of iTunes is that new episodes will automatically download as soon as they are released. Which makes it a lot easier. I'm addicted to buying music online and I use my Beatport, MasterBeat and Traxsource accounts a lot. It's nice to know that you contribute to a producer's career and to know that you help him continue to do his job. And I think other DJs do the same too. Now, in Brazil, producers release their works and remixes online, without charging for the rights due to bureaucratic issues. But this means that their work is well publicized.

You are also a DJ. How did your taste for music come about?
I've always really liked music. He was that kid who was obsessed with MTV. And as expected, I fell in love with electronic music from the first time I stepped into a club. I think the DJ's work in making people forget about his problems is fantastic. Helping the music we play to impact their lives in some way.

What aspects of the DJ universe do you intend to bring to the program?
The idea is for the public to learn about new developments in the world of music and producers before they hit the dance floor.

Will the public be able to interact with the program in any way? As?
Yes, the public can send criticisms, suggestions and questions to email popcast@acapa. Com.br.

For the premiere program, who will be the guest? What other guests do you have in mind?
Our first guest is DJ Paulo Pringles, who does an incredible job at night in São Paulo as a resident of the Tunnel club and also plays on Jovem Pan radio. For the next programs we have a calendar full of names of DJs, singers and producers. But you can't talk about it without ruining the surprise.
