Continues to resonate report from Fantastic (TV Globo), shown last Sunday (1) and presented by Drauzio Varella, about the lives of transgender women in prison.

One of the stories that most moved the public was that of Suzy Oliveira, who hasn't received visitors in eight years. The inmate cries when she says this to Varella, who reacts by hugging her. “I was moved and spontaneously gave a hug,” said the doctor.

“I have this painting in my Fantastic 21 years ago and I’ve never seen an impact like this,” he said in a video published on the global program’s Instagram page.

“It was a frightening repercussion. I thought that discussing this subject, which is sensitive and people are prejudiced, might cause a stir, but in fact [it was] the opposite.”

The doctor said:

The repercussion was absurd, as if it were an unusual thing to hug another human being. Very strange.
