“Same-sex unions are legitimized,” says Plinio, PSOL candidate for president

Plinio de Arruda Sampaio (PSOL) was interviewed yesterday, Tuesday (27/07), by the R7 portal. As has happened in all hearings, "controversial" topics such as drugs, abortion and gay rights have guided the interviews.

The PSOL candidate did not shy away from these issues and defended the legalization of marijuana, same-sex marriage and, even though he is Catholic, the authorization of abortion.

"Women must have the right to decide whether to terminate their pregnancy, and the legalization of abortion would put an end to the deaths caused by the practice carried out clandestinely", declared Plinio.

Regarding civil unions between people of the same sex, the candidate considers it "legitimate". But, like Dilma, Marina and Serra, he said that the issue must be separated from the religious sphere.
