Publisher will publish children's book with black and gay Santa Claus

Breaking patterns and paradigms that have lasted for decades, the Harper Design label, from publisher Harper Collins, innovated by announcing the launch of a children's book telling the story of a black and gay Santa Claus, who lives an interracial relationship with another 'good old white man. Escaping European standards, perpetuated in television productions, Santa's Husband (“Santa Claus's Husband”) is written by the writer of The Late Show, Daniel Kibblesmith, with illustrations by AP Quach. On his Twitter profile, Daniel explained that the idea came up in December 2016, when he and his wife, Jen Ashley Wright, decided that their future son “will only learn that Santa Claus is black. If we see a white Santa Claus on the street, we'll respond: 'that's his boyfriend'.”
