The artistic universe, especially television and cinema, is full of homosexuals who are unable to admit their sexual orientation so as not to lose space. A recent interview with actor Colton Haynes, 28, corroborates this thesis. To presenter Andy Cohen, Haynes revealed that he was forced by his manager to date women to fake a supposed heterosexuality. “I was told the day I moved to Los Angeles that I couldn't be gay because I wouldn't work. My manager and a team of people literally told me I couldn’t be this way,” he said. Colton also said that those found forged were arranged with the women themselves, alleged partners. He goes on to say that the rumors about a possible relationship with Lauren Conrad were nothing more than a hoax. The actor continues saying that all this pressure not to expose himself caused him to develop anxiety and need to seek medical help. “I fought this anxiety, I went to therapy. I couldn’t go to work because I would faint or start sweating and shaking.” “I was so tired of not being myself, of having to diminish myself for certain things and not dressing the way I wanted to and doing all of that. It was truly life-changing when I came out,” added Haynes, who came out as gay in 2016.
