In video, Brazilians say “fuck you” to homophobia

O stonewall blog has just released the Brazilian version of the video "Fuck you", by singer Lily Allen, which features people from various cities in the country.

The campaign against homophobia began last month and is a response to the foreign versions of the singer's video. In May this year, North American YouTube user Steviebeebishop posted the first version and, two weeks later, the French version appeared, organized by the French website GayClic. The video was released on the eve of World Fight Against Homophobia Day.

"The idea of the campaign is to release a fun and relaxed video, which shows that homophobia is a retrograde stance and that a firm stance from society is necessary to combat this form of prejudice", write the blog's authors Cláudia Macedo and Eduardo Mineiro.

The video, which you can watch below, was edited by designer Mariana Velasco.
