A youtuber Nikkie de Jager, known for her makeup tutorials, came out to her more than 12 million followers: the talented influencer is a trans woman!
“I want to inspire little Nikkies around the world who feel insecure, feel out of place, feel not understood,” said the YouTuber, who has been producing makeup videos for 11 years.
“I hope this inspires others to do the same — truly live your life, how you want and the way you want.”
The influencer said that she began making the transition at 14 years old, taking hormones and medications to stop her growth, and finished it at 19 years old, always having her mother's support throughout the journey. She also claims to have been blackmailed by people who threatened to publicly claim that she is trans.
"I am myself. I'm still Nikkie. Nothing changes about that!” she said. Watch the video below in which the YouTuber tells her story.
