While Everyone Sleeps – Romance between soldiers is the theme of a show that arrives in SP

After selling out sessions in Brasília, Curitiba, Salvador and Fortaleza, the show's tour “While Everyone Sleeps” comes to São Paulo for three presentations at Augusta Theater, in the Paulo Goulart room, from the 08th to the 24th of July.

+In 'I Never', three teenagers experience the discoveries of sexuality

On the scene, Pedro Andrade e Luíz Gustavo Silva, army soldiers, are called up for training in a place far from where they live. Far from their families and confined in a hostile environment, they share their anguish and the expectation of imminent combat.

In counterpoint to the tension, complicity, respect and admiration emerge between the two young people, an affection that leads them to live intimate adventures. Conflict and lightness guide the plot of the show, a production by MACA Entretenimento (RJ), which continues, after São Paulo, to Belo Horizonte, Goiânia and Porto Alegre.

Pedro, the central character of the plot, is shy and reserved. He develops an admiration for Luíz and takes him almost as an idol, as it is Luíz who introduces him to a world of freedom and adrenaline, with hints of sexual provocation. Luiz's behavior leads Pedro to see him as an "opponent challenging his libido".

The dramaturgy, with agile dialogues and illuminated by contemplative images, uses unusual theatrical codes to provide a solution to some elements brought to the scene. Examples of this are the sounds of animals that portray characters that do not appear physically on stage or the use of body expression and the soundtrack to transport the audience to scenes such as a waterfall. "That's what makes theater, theater", believes the author of the story Thiago Cazado.
