Poll: Have you ever been to a gay protest?

This November, gays and lesbians decided to wake up to the real world. They forgot for a few minutes about the hype of Facebook and the egocentrism of Twitter and decided to take to the streets to protest against homophobia.

Of course, for this to happen, two sad episodes had to happen. One, cowardly motivated by homophobia, in which a young man is attacked with a lamp on his head while returning, along Av. Paulista, from a night out. During the attack, the victim was called a "faggot" and a "faggot".

Another fact was the letter signed by the chancellor of Mackenzie University, Augusto Nicodemos Gomes Lopes, against o PLC 122/2006 – bill that criminalizes homophobia in the national territory.

Based on these facts, the LGBT community decided to gather in two protests, which took place in against MASP, last Sunday, the 21st, and another in front of the Mackenzie, last Wednesday, the 24th.

Unfortunately, it takes a crime to happen for the LGBT population to decide to take to the streets and ask for justice. However, the commitment of gays and lesbians when it comes to demanding their rights is far below expectations. Proof of this is the number of people who attend the Gay Parade compared to protests and demonstrations, like these, that took place last week.

So, reader, we want to know: have you ever been to a gay protest?
