Erasure releases new version of “A Little Respect” to help gay NGOs

Erasure released a new version of their single "A Little Respect" this week. The idea is that, with the funds raised by the song, two NGOs that work for the LGBT community in the United States will benefit: the Hetrick-Martin Institute and the True Colors Foundation, owned by singer Cyndi Lauper.

The Hetrick-Martin Institute became known for founding the Harvey Milk School in New York. The school functions as a shelter for gay, lesbian and transgender youth and also teaches arts and other skills to young people.

This type of initiative has already been carried out by singer Cyndi Lauper, who in the last two years has raised more than US$200 for LGBT foundations, such as the Human Rights Campaign, Centrelink and PFLAG, an institute that supports parents and friends of LGBT people. .

The new version of "A Little Respect" features the Harvey Milk School choir. In the video, Erasure singer Andy Beel appears alongside the group and at other times appears alone in various locations in New York.
