Rio show pays homage to LGBT culture with 30 musical numbers

The phrase "The Love That Dares Not Say Its Name" has served for centuries to define the homosexual issue. But in modern times, the gay world began to fight for more visibility and this love began to dare. And it wasn't just him: the music also wanted to dare.

"A Música Que Ousa" is the title of the musical show that premieres in Rio this Wednesday (8). In a pocket show format, the play takes a musical journey through time, performing songs that left a mark and have a connection with the LGBT universe.

Thus, songs by Cole Porter, Elvis Presley, Elton John, Madonna, Legião Urbana and Cazuza, among others, come to light, tracing a musical timeline, from the 40s to the present day.

Singing the songs, Hugo Kerth and Igo Ribeiro – who is also the author and general director of the show. On guitar and arrangements, Fabiano Veneza, and on percussion is Braulio Azambuja. The quartet runs until June 29th.
