Theatrical show narrates the conflicting love between a man and a transvestite

The show "Eu Te Amo Por 48 Horas", produced by Anga Actors Art Company. And right away the play addresses a controversial topic, even within the LGBT community: the romance between a man and a transvestite.

Aroldo (Paulo Moraes) is a macho executive, with a tendency towards bipolarity and aggressive behavior. Júlia (Rafael Hernandes) is a transvestite telephone operator, who makes a living from her work, despite society's prejudice.

Their meeting leads to a conflicting love affair, made difficult by Aroldo's attitudes and Júlia's apparent fragility. Love, passion, lack, humiliation, interplay of interests… all of this enters the cauldron of the play.

To create the text, author Paulo Moraes – also an actor in the show – researched the lives of several transvestites, seeking to portray the difficulties of getting a job that is not in the prostitution sector and all the prejudice faced by the group. Another focus of the text is to address fleeting relationships, which are so popular these days.

The show runs until the end of July.
