USA: Creator of “Modern Family” invites candidate Romney’s wife to marry gays in the series

Steve Levitan, creator of the series "Modern Family", invited Ann Romney, wife of US presidential candidate Mitt Rommey, to play the role of judge in the official union of the gay couple in the series.

The invitation came after Ann declared that "Modern Family" is her favorite show on TV.

"Delighted to hear that Modern Family is Ann Romney's favorite show. We offered her the role of officiant at Mitch and Cam's wedding," Steve wrote on his Twitter page.

In the comedy, Mitch (Jesse Tyler Ferguson) and Cam (Eric Stonestreet) are a gay couple who adopt a Vietnamese girl.

It is unlikely that Ann will accept the invitation. After all, Romney's wife must support him in his presidential campaign, which has as one of its speeches valuing the traditional family.

The candidate has already spoken out against gay marriage several times, even stating that the union "is a relationship between a man and a woman."
