USA: Lesbian prevented from visiting partner sues hospital

A lesbian is suing a Miami hospital for being banned from visiting her partner before she died.

Janice Langbehn and Lisa Pond had been together for 18 years. They planned to take their three children on a cruise, but as they left Miami, Pond, 39, passed out. She was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital, accompanied by her partner and children.

After her partner's death, Langbehn tried to obtain access to Pond's death certificate to apply for social and health benefits for her children, but was blocked by the Florida government.
