DC, Washington, United States – Ingrid Contreras, 19, filed a lawsuit against the fast-food chain Burger King alleging that she was harassed by a manager. The information is from Washington Blade.

As Contreras reported to the newspaper, the persecution happened because of her sexual orientation – in September 2019, a month after the young woman started working at the BK franchise, it became known to the team that she is a lesbian. That's when the manager allegedly started harassing her.

The former employee reported that she worked as a cashier and, “every time” she served a female customer, the manager approached and said to Contreras: “do you like this woman?”

The young woman also stated that the manager embarrassed her in front of her colleagues several times and continued to make “inappropriate comments” about her sexual orientation even after asking the accused to stop.
