Former Palmeiras striker Oséas reveals why he didn't pose nude for a gay magazine

The former Palmeiras striker, Hosea He revealed in an interview with the website UOL that he almost posed nude for the now-defunct magazine G Magazine in 1999. And he said that he only didn't sign a contract because Parmalat, which sponsored the team, didn't want to.

"As I had a contract with Parmalat, they interfered because they thought it wasn't a legal thing. At the time I would have accepted it, but (…) I ended up not taking it further", he said.

According to Oséas, there wasn't even time to talk about values, evaluate the proposal or close the deal. And he stressed that the sponsor only made a suggestion, but did not require him to accept it.

"Parmalat was the company that paid me, they didn't impose anything on me, they said they didn't think it was cool, and it was more of a friend thing than a company and an employee. Then the business died", he said.

The publisher Ana Fadigas, responsible for the publication at the time, revealed to the THE CAPE that Oséas was only at the "casting attempt" – done by Klifty Pugini – and that the rejection of the invitation was “not remarkable” in the history of the publication, since “it was normal for this to happen”.

“It’s incredible that this story is appearing now,” he comments.

Ana declared that that month the celebration came through the accepted invitation of São Paulo goalkeeper, Roger. "We also had Vampeta, Dinei, Tulio Maravilha, goalkeeper Rafael Cortes, in short, great covers with great men, who had courage and were super professional. They won to pose, but the courage and avant-garde is theirs."
