For the first time, the chef and businessman Thiago Salvatico, 32, has spoken publicly about her eight-year relationship with Gugu liberato, died in 2019 at age 60.

Salvático has been leading a legal battle to receive part of the SBT presenter's inheritance – recently, he asked the Court to recognize his stable union with Liberato.

In an interview with columnist Léo Dias, from UOL, he said about the time he waited to make the relationship public: “It was very difficult to move on with my life after November 21st. I alternated normal days with very bad days. Shortly after Gugu passed away, my sister and brother-in-law came to live here in Germany to give me emotional support and help me continue my work and business.”

Regarding the fact that their relationship was kept confidential, Salvático said: “Gugu was very reserved. We traveled together, we stayed in the same room, we ate meals and went on walks together. In Brazil, I also walked alongside him and went to all the residences as a companion. But this decision to preserve privacy prevented him from discussing this subject freely with his children, his brother, his mother, his fans and the press.”
