Fran Tirado, until a few days ago LGBT content strategy executive at Netflix, resigned after talking about his day-to-day work in a report on New York Times.
Tirado's report, published in May during quarantine, suggests that, during the routine he described to the newspaper, he ate a galette with marijuana. “The edible hit, a triumph,” he said.
According to the magazine The Hollywood Reporter, Netflix only confirms Tirado's departure, while he himself does not specify the reason why he resigned – he worked at the entertainment giant for ten months.
On Twitter, he praised his Netflix colleagues and announced that he is available to work on new projects. “Consider asking me to join your writing team – especially those with stories about queer/trans people,” he wrote on social media.
I can't leave without giving a big shoutout to Netflix's editorial team and my writers' room (@rosedommu, @evanrosskatz, @jpbrammer) who were an absolute joy to work with and learn from. Can't wait to see what y'all do there next. ✨
