The closing of the 9th Southeast Regional Meeting of Transvestites, Transsexual Women and Trans Men took place on Friday night (19) and featured 1st prize winner Thelma Lipp, at the Dynamite Pub, in São Paulo. And it brought moments of great emotion.

Presented by Agatha Lima e Rhayana Meirelles, the award aimed to honor Thelma – a beauty icon in the 80s – and also highlight professionals and activists who contribute to positive visibility for the group and carry out important work for the TT population.
There was no shortage of tears, speeches and applause.
Among the winners are Cassio Rodrigo (ACGE/Secr. De Cultura ESP) in the category "Human Rights and Citizenship", Alessandro Melchior (CPLGBT/SMDHC) in the"Work and Social Inclusion" category, Maria Clara Gianna (CRT STD/AIDS/ ESP health department) in the "Health" category, the activist Xande Fish of the Saints as "T Personality"
"I am very happy to receive this honor. I hate the title of first (militant trans man), because what I did was just start a work that the boys are continuing. I will be together, not every day, but I will continue to support the group ", declared Xande.
The event also awarded the trophy in the "T Entrepreneurship" category to Patty Delly, "Political and Social Activism" for Heloísa Alves (CEPDS/SJDC), "Education" for the director of the state school Paula Souza Cruz, "Media and Communication" for the journalist Neto Lucon, and "Activist of the Decade" for Fernanda de Moraes.

Between one award and another, there were shows by trans artists Janaina Lima, Taís Sousa, Rachel Shineyder e Athena Joy. In addition to the draw for silicone implant surgeries, masculinizing mastectomy (Xande), by Dr. Paulino, and the removal of the Adam's apple by Facial Teen (Renata Peron).
THE NIGHT GESTURE
It was during the draw for the coveted prosthetics that one of the most exciting moments of the night occurred. The draw was Taiane Myiake, who is deputy coordinator of the Municipal Commission for Sexual Diversity of Santos. But during her speech, she showed her breasts shaped by hormone treatment, said she was satisfied with them and that she would give up the prosthetics to give them to the hairdresser Marcella Alves Montteiro, who suffered a medical error 12 years ago and has since returned to using foam inserts.

"I've known Marcella for four years and we've always met in activism. Once, in her room, I was overcome when I realized she didn't have breasts. We talked about the reason and she told me that she suffered a medical error and had to remove her prostheses. That It really impacted me, because I know how important breasts are in a transvestite's life and in our self-esteem, when I was selected, I automatically thought about giving them to her", she told. THE CAPE. "And I gave."
Taiane says that most people were surprised by the attitude – "I even heard that I was commendable or that I was crazy for giving a prosthesis worth at least R$5.500, but I would give it as many times as necessary" – and gives a message to Marcella: "I already said jokingly that I would be the first to suck (laughs), but seriously, I want her to be much happier from now on."

After the general crying, Marcella said she was very moved because she believed in human kindness and Taiane's friendship. "I never thought that the affection for me would reach such a point. I was simply emotional and crying all the time, just remembering the moment when you told me: 'It's yours'. I didn't believe it and only came to tears. In January I will be a new woman and, now, turbocharged".
