The Modern Ken is a NYC-based pop-up exhibition that took place on Saturday, October 13th. A production by Match Bak Entertainment with the participation of Courtney Charles, the exhibition aims to break stereotypes of masculinity.

“The idea behind this exhibition is to raise awareness of social issues such as homophobia, toxic masculinity, gay adoption and family rights, body positivity and the #MeToo movement,” wrote the website SecretNYC about the event.

Match Bak Entertainment (the company behind the creation of this event) seeks to do this by featuring a diverse cast of life-size Ken doll models to create an inclusive environment for everyone.

The exposure

The Modern Ken exhibit includes a non-binary Ken in yoga, fisting Ken, cheerleader Ken, future Ken, candidate Ken, farmer Ken, and many others.
