After a period of "rehab", where he was hospitalized for treatment against chemical dependency, actor Fábio Assunção resumes his career with plans to play an HIV-positive gay character in cinemas.
The information was given to QUEM magazine by the film's director, Marina Person, who said that the film, still without a defined title, is in the pre-production phase. "I'm raising funds for the fiction feature that tells the story of teenagers from São Paulo, in the 80s. It's a very rich time, and one that I lived through, of revolution and Diretas Já. The film will be about girls who pass the stage teenager to adult in the 80s", he said.
Marina revealed that Fábio Assunção accepted the invitation before hospitalization and that his participation "still stands". The actor will be the uncle of one of the teenagers who lives in the United States.
The film's recordings will be made in São Paulo.
