Fábio Lago comments on the gay character and says he started to receive more attention from women

Actor Fábio Lago spoke, in an interview with the newspaper Extra, about his next character Nick, in the soap opera 'O Outro Lado do Paraíso', which premieres next Monday, 23rd, in prime time on Rede Globo, replacing 'A Força do To want'. In the plot, written by Walcyr Carrasco, Lago will play an effeminate gay man who dresses like a woman. Owner of a beauty salon in the story, the artist revealed that, even before recording began, he began to embody the character and, to his surprise, started to attract more attention from women. “I'm loving this gay state! You say stupid things to people and they laugh! Women approach me much more like this than normal Fábio. They compliment my hair, ask about megahair… Empathy is greater, you know? Delicacy is an eye-catcher in such a sexist world,” he said. Regarding the difficulties of playing such a complex character, Fábio Lago stated that he enjoyed “going through extreme changes, being able to move between drama and humor”. For a character, I'll do whatever. Even have a tooth removed, if it’s worth it,” he added.
