Facebook and Instagram will begin to ban the use of emojis as sexual connotations

The social networks Facebook and Instagram will begin to ban the use of emojis that have any type of sexual connotation, the information is from the website Olhar Digital.

“[Content] will only be removed from Facebook and Instagram if it contains a sexual emoji alongside an implicit or indirect approach, images of naked people, sexual partners or sexual chat conversations,” explained a spokesperson from Instagram. “We are not taking action simply because of emojis,” the site stated.

The intention of this block is to prevent sex workers from using emojis such as eggplant, peach and any other emoji linked to sexuality.
