Facebook vs Twitter

I've had my Facebook profile replicating Twitter posts for some time now. I always heard from Erik Galdino that it's not cool. He says that certain things can only be said on Twitter and others can only be said on Facebook. I always replied that I didn't understand it that way, and that I think I practice replication because it takes time to go to both social networks to post the same thing.

Only for now did I understand. The two networks are different, the people are different, and the posts are read differently.

On Twitter there is greater mockery, the sense of humor is greater, and the phrases are more praised. Thus, well-thought-out phrases, with more meaning, mocking, sarcastic and with more depth are well accepted. These phrases on Facebook can be seen as pretentious, boring and reposting something about the same subject can sound repetitive, you should post when the previous post has already resonated.

On Facebook everything is visual, a lot of ostentation, applications, more seriousness, there is also the mass migration from Orkut. There's no shortage of people who take photos inside the plane, on the hotel's facade, with a glass of champagne, in the pool... it gets a little tacky. It's funny that everything that Twitter demands most is objectivity, but I think it's on Facebook that it's most needed. A post with little information is not frowned upon on Twitter, but on Facebook it is. Maybe because on Facebook everything goes through approval, has to be commented or liked, on Twiiter replies or retweets are not published.

On Facebook there is reciprocity, whoever you follow also follows you, unlike Twitter. This reciprocity can also occur on Twitter, as some people are only "followable" if they follow back, follows based on friendship. But there are also people who are followed as a source of information.
