“They said I was gay because I played volleyball” says actor Klebber Toledo

The actor Klebber Toledo, who recently starred in the global soap opera “Morde & Assopra”, declared in an interview with the newspaper O Dia that as a teenager he suffered prejudice for being beautiful.

When he was younger, his beauty was a source of humiliation from other classmates. “Ever since I was a kid, having light eyes was a reason for aggression. If the girls were interested, he would gather a group of boys to beat them up,” said the actor.

The cute guy also revealed that he was called “little girl” and gay by other boys. “Yes, I suffered, they called me a little girl, they said I was gay, mainly because I played volleyball,” he said.

As an actor, Toledo also feels pressure. “People label without knowing how much I worked and studied. I've been at TV Globo since 2006, and even so I have to prove my ability with each job”, he said.

Boyfriend of actress Marina Ruy Barbosa, the actor returns to the air in "Lado a Lado", the next 18pm soap opera, which premieres on September 10th.
