Avicii's family confirms the DJ's cause of death

The family of Tim Bergling, better known as Avicii, put an end to speculation about the DJ's death and confirmed the suspicion of suicide. According to “Rolling Stones” magazine, the music producer left a farewell letter and killed himself shortly afterwards, in Muscat, Oman, on April 20. “[…] When he stopped touring, he wanted to find balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most – music. He really struggled with thoughts about life, happiness and what it all means. He couldn't move forward, he wanted peace. Tim wasn't cut out for the machine industry he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but tried to avoid being the focus of attention. Tim will forever be loved and we will miss him. The person you were and your music will keep you alive,” said a statement sent to the publication. Avicii was 28 years old and was known for the songs “Hey Brother” and “Wake Me Up”, among others. The DJ suffered from acute pancreatitis, partly due to excessive alcohol consumption.
