Last Monday (27) some religious people were attacking and insulting homosexuals through Twitter. So in the midst of the confusion, YouTuber Felipe Neto decided to take a stand and come out in defense of the LGBTQ+ community, using arguments from the Bible itself against those who spouted hatred.
Philip began by arguing as follows: “'Leviticus 18' is in the Old Testament. Whoever uses the Old Testament to condemn homosexuals or consider them an aberration must follow the ENTIRE Old Testament. Good luck murdering BILLIONS (literally) of people around the world. Then let me know how it goes.”
This began to generate a lot of discussion in his post, some defended it, others continued to ooze hatred and try to argue.
Then Felipe continued. “And to those who use Leviticus to condemn homosexuals, remember... In the same Old Testament, in Deuteronomy, it is made clear that a compromised woman who is RAPED and DOES NOT SCREAM FOR HELP must be STONED TO DEATH. Do you really want to follow the Old Testament to the letter?“.
To conclude, Felipe used the following argument: “Jesus throughout the New Testament did not spend a drop of saliva talking about homosexuals. However, he strongly condemned adultery and those who use God to get rich. If you really want to follow Jesus, review your priorities and see his.”
