January continues to be effervescent, as it should be the month marked by holidays and the hottest season of the year. Later this month, four festivals promise to help the temperature of summer nights rise even further.
The first one will be tomorrow (18) at the incredible Ocean Club, that whorehouse that hosted Glória's nights when the ban was imposed. "Lux! Wealth! Drooling & Confusion” is the name of the party that will be a mega-birthday celebration among friends. The place will be operating normally, so anyone attending the party must identify themselves at the entrance to purchase their luxury bracelet. DJs Felipe, Tati Cherry Lips, Nina Lopes and Anis liven up the dance floor.
On Saturday (19) rolls the famous Tea with Cookies, at Glória, and the theme could not be more appropriate “São Paulo Dyke Week”. This night, the DJs Barbie da Silva, Chan, Aline Taleban and the duos So Last Summer and Geanine Marques, accompanied by Cláudia Guimarães, will lead the pick-ups. Take care of your outfit because the organizers warn: “Believe me, daughter, you'll be on the cover of Dyke Vogue”.
And for those who are enjoying their holidays in Salvador, or live there, there is the unmissable “Tô Aberta's Party”, the first edition of the party by the queer-punk-electro-funk performance duo, Solange, Tô Aberta. O bafo is a matinee for girls and boys that will take place on Sunday (20), at 20pm, with the special participation of DJ Adriana Prates coordinating the “beats” for the band. Afterwards, there will be a set by DJs Le Persie and Nadja Vladi.
Next week (25) there is the first edition of the year in São Paulo of the electro-rock party for girls Tête-à-tête. “By day it’s Maria, by night it’s João…a Micareta das Têtas” was the theme chosen to celebrate Carnival. The program includes a pocket show by the band Mono 4 and a performance by DJs Teka Avari, Lady Rocker and Mandy (resident). Crossdressers and fantasists win carnival gifts.
