Toy Party fills Metrópole, André Almada's new event space in SP; see photos

The Toy party took place last Friday night (8), the third of the Eterna Festival. The party was held at Metrópole, André Almada's new event space.

The location is where the old Cine Metrópole was located, in the gallery of the same name, on Avenida São Luiz, in the center of São Paulo.

Right at the entrance, an amphitheater with staircases on both sides gives you an idea of the gigantism of the place. Inside there is a huge track, with very high ceilings. At the back and front, platforms at higher levels complete the dancefloor. The stage is also very large and holds large shows. A cube-shaped LED structure was the center of the decoration. On the sides, some boxes that were not used at the top and bars at track level.

The space was not yet completely finished, it was possible to see the stage of work on the floors, ceiling and bar counters. But, as it was just a pre-opening, it has its discount. The only downside was the queue to buy drink tokens at the beginning of the party, which was not enough for the crowd.

The public, in fact, showed up in droves. Despite its size, Metrópole was completely packed.

Herbett Tonn opened the night, followed by the foreigners in the line-up: Pagano and Tony Moran. Both invested in a heavier sound, with few vocals and quality sound. They did great sets.

Another well-produced performance from The Week Dancers completed the night. The party only ended at 8am, with the dance floor still full and wanting more.

It is not yet known how often Metrópole will operate, but given its size, it should be booming. Check out more photos in the album.
