Teddy Award presents its winners
The Mexican film “Rabioso Sol, Rabioso Cielo” by Julián Hernández took the teddy bear home. According to the jury, the film brings together wonderful cinematography with a visionary use of colors and sound. Furthermore, according to the judges, the film explores themes such as love, sensuality and desire in a mythological way in a current urban reality.

The Teddy for best documentary goes to “Fig Trees” by director John Greyson for managing to expand the debate on AIDS and its activists within a global reality. The experimental film “A Horse Is Not A Metaphor” by Barbara Hammer received the Teddy for best short film. In it, the filmmaker brings an intimate view of sexuality, cancer, body transformations and the hope of healing through self-knowledge.
