After the first round of the 2018 elections showed a wide advantage for candidate Jair Bolsonaro and also after violent and deadly attacks took place in the country, the “Cenas Cumplicidades” festival removed a presentation with a “gay” theme.
According to the organizers, this was necessary as the artists would be at risk of aggression and death. As voting intentions for the candidate are increasing and the festival would have more or less 40 thousand people, the organizers thought it best to remove the play.
