A 14-year-old teenager was beaten by five on Thursday (5) inside a public school in Vila Jamil, São Paulo, and is in a coma. The reason: homophobia, as the young man is the adopted son of a gay couple.

"I didn't know that my son suffered prejudice for being the son of a homosexual couple. The police chief informed us. We are sad and we decided to publicize what happened so that this doesn't happen again with other children," he said. Márcio Nogueira to R7.
The teenager has been studying at the unit since he was six years old and his 15-year-old brother witnessed the attack. In serious condition, the boy is admitted to the Ferraz de Vasconcellos Regional Hospital and had a brain aneurysm and is in an induced coma.

Two of the attackers were at the boy's grandmother's house to apologize. Márcio registered a police report at the Ferraz de Vasconcelos Police Station and says he intends to sue the State. "I'm really asking for my son to survive all of this, but we also want justice to be done."
