Film “Elvis & Madona” premieres this Friday; check out the interview with actor Igor Cotrim

After more than a year of its premiere, the feature film "Elvis & Madona" arrives in cinemas in São Paulo, Rio Janeiro and Bahia. Directed by Marcelo Laffitte, the film tells the story of the transvestite Madona (Igor Cotrim) and the motorcycle girl Elvis (Simone Spoladore).

With priceless performances by Cotrim and Spoladore, the film portrays the daily life of Madona, who dreams of putting on a big musical show and has been saving money for years to do so. Elvis dreams of transforming the world with his photography work. However, while the change doesn't come, she makes a living delivering pizza. In the film, there is a major turning point in both of their lives and they begin an emotional relationship.

In addition to the boldness of the story, the film was successful at several film festivals in Brazil and around the world. Its script based on the daily life of the LGBT community, the agility in the direction and the several impeccable interpretations in the film, would contribute to this.

When "Elvis & Madonna" had its premiere at the Mix Brasil de Cinema Festival, in 2009, the website A Capa interviewed the actor Igor Cotrim, who plays the transvestite Madonna. At the time, we also carried out a review regarding production.
