The official party of the XI GLBT Pride Parade in São Paulo already has a date, location, and some attractions confirmed. The party, which promises to be lively, takes place on June 8th, the Friday after the Corpus Christi holiday, at Espaço das Américas, close to the Barra Funda subway.
Among the confirmed attractions are two big names in absurdist electro, Fischerspooner and Vive La Fête. The first is a duo from New York, formed by Warren Fischer and Casey Spooner between 1999 and 2000. At the parade party, Warren Fischer will perform a Dj Set alongside Jon Kane.
Vive La Fête is a little older, formed in 1997, and is also a duo, formed by Belgians Danny Mommens and Els Pynoo. Both duos have already come to Brazil, Fischerspooner in 2004 to perform at Skol Beats and Vive La Fête in 2006, when they gave a really cool performance that packed The Week with hipsters. The party will also feature national DJs, but the line-up has not yet been announced.
