At the beginning of the month, 26-year-old bodybuilder Priscila Reis came second in a female bodybuilding contest in Saquarema. Making sports history by becoming the first Brazilian transgender to participate in a competition with only cis women (who identify with their biological gender).
According to her, the idea came after seeing a trans man participate in a men's championship. So she went to the Rio de Janeiro federation and asked to participate. When they accepted, the surprise was huge and after some tests she managed to participate in the championship.
