September is the month for the new season of hit American TV series, such as Desperate Housewives, Ugly Betty, Monk and others, and it is also when new series are launched that will be the focus for the coming years. This is what happens with Flash Forward, the new ABC series.
The first scene of the series, an accident on a highway, is very reminiscent of the first scene of Lost. All desperate people, looking for others, asking for help, explosions and the main character, like Jack Shepherd, wakes up lying on the floor. In history, everyone in the world suffered a type of blackout. Imagine you doing something in your day-to-day life and suddenly you black out exactly two minutes and seventeen seconds. Later on, the characters talk to each other and discover that during the 'blackout' they all had a vision of what they will do in six months.
The Flash Forward pilot was so successful in the United States that it is being called by experts as the successor to Lost, as it is in its final season.
