On Carnival Sunday (06), Continente beach, located in Florianópolis (SC), will host the "20nd Continente Carnival Gay Contest" from 2pm onwards. According to the organizers, the event is a fun activity and anyone, regardless of sexual orientation, can participate. The competition is promoted by the Continente Municipal Secretariat.
The categories for those who wish to participate are: Drag Queen (in costume), Beauty Queen (in costume); and Wet Boy and Girl. For first place, the competition offers a prize of R$1, a trophy and a gift. Registration can be made until March 5th. Registrations can also be made on the day of the competition, as long as they are made two hours before the start. Registration is free.
