Madonna canceled another Madame X Tour show. This time, what was scheduled for last Sunday night (1) in Paris, the city where the last shows of the tour are being held.
Between the end of 2019 and the beginning of this year, the singer has already canceled more than ten shows due to pain in her knee and hips. In an Instagram post, the diva was more specific when talking about the injury that prevented her from performing several times.
Madonna said that, two nights before the canceled show, she fell from a chair she was sitting in during a performance. The seat was accidentally pulled away from her and the artist hit her tailbone on the floor.
“If only knees didn’t twist, cartilage didn’t break, nothing hurt, and tears never fell from our eyes… But all of this happens and I thank God for this important reminder that we are human,” he wrote.
“I managed to do the whole show last night, but I almost didn't make it because I hate to disappoint. However, today even I can see that this broken doll, patched up with tape and glue, needs to stay in bed and rest for a few days to be able to finish the tour with a smile on its face and in one piece,” he concluded.
The Madame X Tour, associated with Madonna's most recent studio album, Madame X (2019), is scheduled to close on March 11th.
