Gallery: Stephen Amell, star of the series “Arrow”, will shoot your heart!

Geeks, superhero fans and, of course, us, eagerly await the arrival of the new series on the CW channel, Arrow , which premieres on American TV on October 10th. The series has as its protagonist the hero Green Arrow, who has already appeared in Smallville and is an easy figure in DC Comics cartoons and comics.

There are many reasons for anxiety. One of them is that the CW channel, which, in the United States, broadcasts the successful Gossip Girl, Supernatural e The Vampire Diaries, invested heavily in marketing.

In May, the CW announced the debut of the series based on the comic book hero's story – and since then, it hasn't left the media. News about the cast, photos from the episodes and even a special edition of a DC Comics comic for San Diego Comic-Con were released. Created by Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, Arrow , as if that weren't enough, has its pilot directed by none other than David Nutter, veteran of Smallville – and, of course, there is an arrow up his sleeve: the saradíssimo Stephen Amell (photo).

Canadian from the city of Aurora, the handsome 31-year-old has already participated in CSI: Miami, NCIS: Los Angeles, 90210 (the successor to the 90s hit, Barred at the Ball), New Girl, Heartland and in the medical Private Practice. He was still a prostitute in the series Hung - in Portuguese, Gifted, can you imagine? – from the HBO channel.

What many don't know is that the all-good guy has also played gay roles. He debuted on TV as a spinning instructor in the Queer As Folk. Afterwards, he was in Dante's Cove, playing a character who, at first, seemed straight, but later turned gay. In fact, in Hung, her character was scheduled to "expand" the clientele beyond women, which ended up not happening because the series was cancelled.

Em Arrow , Stephen Amell will play the protagonist, Oliver Queen/Green Arrow, a role that, in Smallville, was by Justin Hartley. In the beginning, there was a fan base for Hartley to resume his position, but so far, everything suggests that Amell will be a worthy replacement, whether in terms of acting or beauty, with the difference being that he will make a more mature Archer – and more pumped.

The synopsis of the series states that Oliver Queen is a millionaire who disappears for five years after a shipwreck and returns changed from an island in the Pacific. Punisher, he starts trying to correct his past mistakes, including seeking reconciliation with his ex-girlfriend and his family.

To do this, he will use a bow, arrows, a lot of muscle and a lot of charm – and our bet is that success is guaranteed. After all, who doesn't like a handsome, masculine and strong man wrapped in a tight superhero uniform? Check it out in the gallery below.
