12-year-old boy breaks gender issues by posing for women's brand campaign

Acne Studios' newest female campaign, which will be released this Thursday (3), featured a modern 12-year-old boy as its poster boy. The idea is to talk about (and break down) issues related to gender and androgyny.

The pre-teen model is Frasse Johansson, the son of the brand's creative director, Jonny Johansson.

"The cut, shape and character of the clothing is the most crucial thing, not society's approval," the father told WWD. "I thought of my son immediately, because he represents this new generation. I was very happy that he accepted the invitation and wanted to be part of the campaign."

If you are one of those who question the boy's choice due to the difficulty in making gender issues more flexible and respecting diversity, know that the new generations have dealt with the issue much more calmly. So much so that, despite starring in a women's campaign and selling his clothes very well, Frasse says that his style is football.

"Walking in high heels is very difficult, I don't understand how anyone can do that. Playing football is more my style, but it was a lot of fun taking the photos and enjoying it with my father", declares the boy, who was a winner in the campaign and who uploads from the father the importance of respect.
