Benjamin Carpenter is a British man who stood out in the international press when he told his story as a single homosexual who decided to adopt four children with disabilities. In England, his country of origin, he became known as “Super Dad” due to his priority when it comes to adoption, choosing children with physical or mental problems who are normally overlooked and are unable to be adopted by other families. “I prioritize because I know that children with special needs are usually forgotten. I accept them, and honestly, for me, they only bring joy and fulfillment.”, Jack told the press. Ten years ago, he adopted the first of his children, Jack, who has autism and also suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. Soon after, three other children came: Ruby, aged 6, who has mobility difficulties, Lilly, aged 5, who is deaf (and enabled her father and the whole family to learn sign language!) and also Joseph, who has Down's syndrome. The recognition for Jack's huge heart is well known throughout the United Kingdom, there, he has participated in several TV programs and was also recently awarded, by a British association, the title: “Adopter Champion of the Year”.
