George Clooney calls for boycott of hotels owned by the Sultan of Brunei

Actor George Clooney made a statement calling for a boycott of hotels belonging to the Sultan of Brunei, after the monarch created harsh laws against the LGBT community.

Clooney asked people to stop visiting The Beverly Hills and the Sultan's other hotels. “They are good hotels. The people who work on them are kind and helpful and have nothing to do with owning these properties. But let's be clear. Every time we stay or have meetings or have dinner at one of these nine hotels, we are putting money directly into the pockets of men who chose to stone and whip their own citizens to death for being gay or accused of adultery.” in an excerpt of your statement.
