Manager has broken facial bone in homophobic attack near TV Cultura in SP

Another case of homophobia in São Paulo. The 32-year-old PR information technology manager says he was the target of a homophobic attack in the early hours of last Sunday (16).

According to the newspaper "Folha de S.Paulo", the man, who prefers not to identify himself, left the club The Week, in Lapa, and went to the area close to TV Cultura, a famous gay meeting point in the city.

PR was talking to a friend when four men came out of two vehicles shouting: "Get out of here, we're going to kill you, you fagots."
The manager tried to escape, but was surrounded by two men on the corner of Rua Emílio Goeldi and Av. Ermano Marchetti. Armed with pieces of iron, the attackers broke a bone in PR's face, in addition to wounding him in the arm and stomach.

A gas station employee saw the attack and asked the men to stop. A resident also witnessed the attack. "I saw a man running and others going after him to catch him," she says.

The two men fled and were not identified by police. The case was registered at the 7th DP of Lapa. In the image, the victim's face with injuries.
