Globo denies Damares Alves about “gay dictatorship” during the Fantástico program

A new Fantástico painting has caused controversy in Brazil. In the last program they played with minister Damares Alves, showing some lying statements she made before being appointed by Jair Bolsonaro to join the government. One of the videos shown was her talking about the “gay dictatorship”.

In the frame, the editors used the “virtual detective”, who investigates whether internet videos are real or not, and uses the voice of Tadeu Schmidt to speak whether it is true or false.

“16 years ago, we said we were going to have a gay dictatorship in Brazil. What are we experiencing today? A gay dictatorship!” said Damares. “Lies!” shouted Tadeu Schmidt after the “investigation” by the “virtual detective”.
