To show that homosexuality is something that is in the history of humanity, and that several LGBT people experienced love and desires in the past, the Globo network decided to produce a series that will tell the story of a gay prince.
The broadcaster bought the rights to “The Cursed Prince”, a book written by Mary Del Priore, which tells the story of Pedro Augusto de Saxe-Coburgo e Bragança, who narrowly missed becoming emperor of Brazil.
Apparently, the story will be told in a miniseries format, and the script will begin to be developed next year.
