GNT shows documentary about Rock Hudson

The unprecedented documentary in Brazil "Rock Hudson: Beautiful and Enigmatic" will be shown next Tuesday (18), on the closed channel GNT.

The program focuses on the career of the actor, one of Hollywood's biggest heartthrobs in the 60s and 70s, and his personal life – as a closeted gay man in the film industry.

The documentary delves into the gay issue, remembering the moment when the actor's manager arranged a marriage between Hudson and his secretary, Phyllis Gates. It is interesting to note that even today, including in Brazil, this practice still predominates.

Another important topic in the program is the actor's death. Hudson was one of the first famous victims of AIDS, and became ill three months before his death in 1985.
